Paper Abstract:      Managers were interviewed over a period of four years during and after an introduction of email to 6000 employees in a health care organisation. Initially the information flow improved for the managers when they were the only one who had access to email. However, with time, multiple mailings of the same message from people within the organisation became a nuisance. When the email system was fully implemented, mass mailings from within the organisation, internal spam, became an annoying problem for the organisation.
